Climate condition determines distribution and/or growth performance of plants. Recently, significant climate change is concerned especially in the northern part of Japan, and the prediction of the impact of climate change on boreal forestry have been required. We are studying relationship between climate condition and survival rate or growth pattern of Abies sachalinensis and Picea glehnii, and those results will contribute to conduct strategies to adapt to climate change in forestry.
