Forests play a vital role in preventing landslides and meteorological disasters and provide a stable supply of water resources.Forests are also indispensable for preserving the global environment as they can slow down global warming by absorbing carbon dioxide. The Department of Disaster Prevention, Meteorology, and Hydrology focuses on exploring a forest’s ability to conserve water sources, prevent disasters, and shape environments, with the aim of achieving a safe and secure society.
