Our center consists of two laboratories. The biodiversity laboratory researches the elucidation and assessment of mechanisms of biodiversity, ecosystem functions, and ecosystem services; the conservation and management of ecosystems; and regional and traditional ways in which nature interacts with people and society. The climate change laboratory is mainly engaged in research related to climate change and forest ecosystems, climate change policy and countermeasures, and social implementation work across government through collaboration and research cooperation with domestic and international forestry research institutions.
