| Our focus is on the biogeochemical processes in soil and the nutrient dynamics of soil-plant systems with the aim of understanding element cycling in forest ecosystems. Our department, which has its headquarters in Tsukuba and includes a director, three laboratories, and two team leaders. We also conduct work in five regional research centers and an experiment station within Japan, and are involved in corroborative projects with institutions of several tropical to boreal countries. |
