Amphibian in the Tama Forest Science Garden:
Japanese fire-bellied newts (Cynops pyrrhogaster), Eastern-Japanese common toads (Bufo japonicus formosus), Montane brown frogs (Rana ornativentris), Wrinkled frogs (Rana rugosa), Forest green tree frogs (Rhacophorus arboreus), Schlegel's green tree frogs (Rhacophorus shlegelii).
In a pond behind the museum building, frogspawns are observed in February (Montane brown frog), from March to April (Eastern-Japanese common toad) and in May (Forest green tree frog).
Reptiles in the Tama Forest Science Garden:
Japanese geckos (Gekko japonicus), Japanese five-lined skinks (Eumeces latiscutatus), Japanese grass lizards (Takydromus tachydromoides), Japanese odd-scaled snakes (Achalinus spinalis), Japanese four-lined snakes (Elaphe quadrivirgata), Burrowing ratsnakes (Elaphe conspicillata), Japanese ratsnakes (Elaphe climacophora), Oriental odd-tooth snakes (Dinodon orientale), Japanese keelbacks (Amphiesma vibakari vibakari), Tiger keelbacks (Rhabdophis tigrinus), Japanese mamushis (Gloydius blomhoffi).
