Commentary |
They sing with a distinct voice among tall trees. They mate in summer and form flocks of several dozen birds in winter. They are distinctive in the specific flying pattern drawing a wave. Females and males are the same color and they feed on hard seeds such as Chinese hackberry with their large yellow beaks. |
