Commentary |
A perennial plant in well-lit woodlands. Tender stems and flowers appear in early spring, and in late spring they die off to store nutrients in underground fish scale stems. Atypical spring plant with a short time on the ground of about a month. The flowers open when the sun shines and close when the sun goes down. |
