Commentary |
It has triangular ovoid radical leaves, which produce flower stalks from their centers in early summer. The genus name Campanula means ''little bell,'' although the flowers on this plant are 4-5 cm long and resemble a large bell. The flowers are hermaphroditic and protandrous. They are defined by recurving, deltoid, outer accessory sepals between calyx lobes. |
