Commentary |
A deciduous shrub, with creeper characteristics, that grows in fields and mountains. The leaves are palm-shaped and compound with five leaflets. Inflorescences hang down from the leaf axils, with male flowers at the tip and female flowers at the base. The flowers are pale in color, without petals, and have a petal-shaped calyx. The female flowers are larger and have a few cylindrical pistils. The fruit is a sap fruite that cleaves when ripe. |
