Commentary |
Long, slender stems creep on the ground, spreading with roots. In the Science Garden, there are often leaves in the winter as well. In spring, it puts out thin flower stalks and produces one to three yellow flowerheads. The capitulum is ligulate only. The fruit has pappi and is borne om the wind. |
