Commentary |
A perennial herb that spreads by way of rhizomes and grows in clusters in semi-shaded areas. It gives off a peculiar smell when damaged. The leaves are soft and heart-shaped with a pointed tip. The top of the stem bears a spike with four white petal-like involucres. The flowers on the spike are small numerous. |
