A perennial plant found in well-lit places. The seeds germinate in the fall and it has few leaves in the winter. It grows rapidly in spring and has many red-purple flowers. The color of the flowers may vary from one plant to another and some may be white. The fruit is an elongated pod, which pops open to release the seeds, and the seeds are further carried by ants. |
