Commentary |
An evergreen shrub that grows in forests. Dioecious. The leaves are opposite and clustered at the tops of the branches. It bears many small purple-brown flowers in panicles ate the ends of branches. Female flowers have no stamens and the pistils of male flowers are degenerate. The fruit is 1.5-2 cm long, oval, and ripens red. It is also used a garden tree. |
