A perennnial forest plant. The stem branches multiple times, and the greenish-white flowers bloom downward from the tips. There are six tepals, which form a tube with a bulging base, inside of which nectar is secreted. The fruit is black when ripe. A new subterranean stem grows after flowering is over, with the next buds at its tip. |
