A perennial plant found in the Cherry Tree Preservation Forest. This thistle blooms from early summer and on through the summer, and the upward-facing flowerhead is made up of many small, cylindrical flowers bunched together and surrounded by involucres, making it look like a single flower. The involucres secrete mucus, so are sticky. The leaves have sharp prickles. The fruit has feathery pappi, and are bone on the wind. |
