Commentary |
A deciduous shrub that grows in brightly lit areas such as forest edges in the mountains. It produces corymbs of about 5 cm in diameter at the ends of branches. The flowers are white to blue-white, densely growing, hermaphroditic, and about 5 mm long. They are lacy and delicate and bloom only briefly. The plant bears none of the flowers typical of the genus Hydrangea that are often used for ornamental purposes. |
