Commentary |
A commonly found deciduous tree. Dioecious. The leaves are opposite and odd pinnate. The serrations are indistinct. It bears many white flowers in a panicle at the end of new branches. The corolla is divided into four, the male flowers have no pistil, and the hermaphroditic flowers have a stamen and pistil. Cross-pollinates. The fruit is a samara (winged achene) and elongated. |
