Commentary |
A perennial forest plant. The Japanese name is derived from the appearance of a new flowers hanging from the leaf axils on a curved, bow-shaped stem, which resembles naruko, or wooden hand clappers to scare birds, The leaves are oriented horizontally in low sun, but stand up in full sun. |
