Commentary |
Similar in appearance to viola grypoceras, but with darker flowers that have a clearer white center. More common in dry areas than viola grypoceras. The flowers are faintly aromatic. It grows stems and produces great numbers of leaves, and flowers in the leaf axils, but from early summer the flowers turn cleistogamous. |
