Commentary |
A perennial plant commonly found on fields and mountains. It grows by way of subterranean rhizomes. Short hairs grow densely on the stem and leaves and are rough in texture. The stems are well branched and bear many flowers. The flowerhead is 2.5 cm in diameter and has a single row of blue-purple lingual flowers on the outside. The fruit has 5 mm-long pappi. |
