Commentary |
A perennial that grows in meadows and woodlands. A few long, large, oval leaves with long petioles emerge from the ground. The flowering stalks emerge from the center of the leaves, sometimes up to 1 m, and produce numerous flowers horizontally. The flowers bloom in order from the bottom to the top, and are thick and tubular, 4.5 to 5 cm long. |
