Commentary |
A perennial creeping plant that grows at the edge of the forest. The light-yellow, bean-shaped flowers bloom in summer. The fruit that grows in fall is more conspicuous, with red pods that split open to expose black seeds. The seeds remain in the pods until birds eat them. |
