Commentary |
A perennial plant that grows in sunny, hilly meadows. It reaches a height of 0.6 to 1 m. The plant produces a raceme of 10-20 cm in length at the end of the stem and has numerous small white flowers. The flowers bloom from the underside of the inflorescence and hang down at the tip. The Japanese name derives from the inflorescence looking like a tiger's tail. |
