Commentary |
When the leaves emerge they look a closed umbrella, and when they open, like a torn umbrella, with the largest ones reaching 40 cm in diameter. It takes several years before it flowers, and when it does, it products flowers stalks of 50 cm or more in height. The flower stalk may have galls caused by the Paratephritis takeuchii fruitfly. |
