Commentary |
A vine-like winter annual plant that grows in sunny areas. It germinates in fall and puts out leaves in winter, but unlike the spring leaves, there are few leaflets. In spring, its growth becomes faster and there are tendrils on the tips of the leaves. There are magenta flowers on its axils, and in early summer, these turn into black pods that disseminate speckled seeds. |
